About Me

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I provide individual psychotherapy for adults and family based therapy for pre-teens and adolescents. I integrate evidence-based, best practice interventions from; contemporary psychodynamic, behavioral and systemic family therapy.
My initial aim in treatment is to facilitate durable symptom relief. This can be facilitated through collaborative short term goal setting and skill development. Often times, chronic psychological symptoms are fueled by unconscious processes - conflicting thoughts and feelings about past experiences that are outside of our immediate awareness. In therapy this content can be brought to the surface and worked through.

I treat adolescents (ages 12+) using a family therapy model in which parental involvement is vital. An adolescent's treatment can involve a combination of full family, parent-child, parent only and individual sessions. The treatment is usually short term, lasting 8 - 12 sessions, but can extend beyond that timeframe if it is indicated.

I completed my internship at the Russell-Sage College Wellness Center, a Historical Womens college located in Troy, NY. I then worked for The Family Counseling Center, a community mental health clinic in the Mohawk Valley where I treated families and individuals impacted by poverty and addiction. I opened my private practice in 2018. My office is located inside of Forest Clinical Services, a 2 office suite in Malta, New York.
